Ruby Araceli Tenorio

Ruby Araceli Tenorio (1986-2024), age 38, passed away suddenly and tragically on Sept 1, 2024. She was a mother, daughter, and sister. Ruby was born in a small town in Mexico, but was raised in the states, growing up in Kentucky but mostly in Tennessee. After high school, Ruby was a traveler. She lived in North Carolina, California, Texas, and Hawaii. Her life was suddenly cut short in Kailua, Hawaii. She leaves behind two children, Alonzo, age 8, and Aracelie, age 5. Ruby dedicated her life to her children, and she was very active with them. She loved baking, tie-dying, and hiking with her children. Ruby loved going on family hikes and taking pictures with her children. Her children meant everything to her. She loved them and cared for them with all her heart. Ruby was talented in many ways. She loved photography, sewing, crafts, cooking, and caring for plants. Ruby came from a big family, and always shared pictures and videos of her and the children. She leaves behind her parents, Eleuteria and Eloy, three siblings, Jesus, Carolina (brother-in-law, Frankie) and Monica (brother-in-law, Joseph) and one niece, Amelia. Ruby was a wonderful daughter, sister, and aunt. She was very caring even when she was young she helped dress and brush her youngest sister for school. Her parents are very proud of her and will always love her. She loved her niece Amelia very much and treated her as one of her own children. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Without Ruby, there is a void deep inside all of her family that can never be filled. She is and will always be terribly missed. Her sudden and tragic death leaves everyone devastated and heartbroken. Ruby will always be remembered and loved by her family.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 2:30 pm at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.
