Ruby Jeanette Underhill-Tennant

Tennant - Ruby Jeanette Underhill Tennant, age 85, of Starke, Florida passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, at Cedar Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Ruby was born in Wilson, North Carolina on June 15, 1939, to the late Richard Reddin Page and Mary Magdonline Hawley Page. She was raised in North Carolina and graduated from Lee Woodard High School in 1957. Shortly after graduating, she started her first job at Kings Department Store. In 1960, she married, Grover Linwood Underhill. Ruby was a devoted wife and treasured being a mother. After Grover and Ruby were married, Ruby stayed home to take care of her family. Later in life, Ruby resided in Norfolk, Virginia for a season and finally made Bradford County her home in 1999, where she met her second husband, Ed Tennant. More than anything, Ruby loved her family, enjoyed spending precious time with them, and cherished making memories. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; spouses, Grover Linwood Underhill and Ed Tennant; her son, Linwood Wayne Underhill; brothers, James Page and Raymond Page; and sisters, Shirley Page Goodwin, Mary Page Matson, and Loretta Page Denardo.
Ruby is survived by her son, Phillip Underhill; step-children, Ed Tennant, Chad Tennant, Dwayne Tennant, and Ramona Petry; sister, Judy Page Burnette of Richmond, NC; many grandchildren; along with several extended family members and friends.
Ruby's Family will celebrate her life privately. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services and Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel, Starke, Fl. 904-964-5757.
