Robert William Webb was born on October 19, 1942 at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois to Herbert H. Webb and Leona H. Webb. He attended St.Paul Lutheran Church’s Elementary School on Canfield Road in Chicago, Illinois, and went on to attend William Howard Taft High School in Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduation, he attended Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois to study music and organ playing. After 3 years at Millikin, Robert entered into the United States Army in 1965. He served 2 years including 1 year abroad in Germany. After returning to the States, he continued to serve in the US Army Reserves for 4 years. From 1976 until 1994, Robert and his family were members of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, where he served many years as an Elder of the church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. While in Elk Grove Village, Robert was involved in a photography club. He enjoyed taking photos on many family vacations and developing his own prints. He earned several awards from the club for his works. In 1994 Robert relocated to Jacksonville, Florida by his employer, Gallagher-Basset Insurance Company. Upon his retirement in 2007, he moved to Macclenny, Florida and began his love of riding his Harley and collecting special 1st edition signed copies of books from authors of all kinds.

Robert was a loving father of Kristen L. (Brackmann) Webb, Nathan R. Webb and Ryan S. Webb. He was a cherished grandfather of Jamie Webb, Max Webb and Brooklyn Webb. He leaves behind his brother, Thomas Webb (Tamara) and sister, Nancy (Matt Clark) as well as nieces, Andrea Clark, Emily Clark and nephew, Carl Clark.

We rejoice in knowing that Robert has now joined the Saints in his heavenly home, where he lives eternallywith our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will be missed, but celebrated by his friends and loved ones.

A private interment will take place at South Prong Cemetery.
