Rubye “Nana” Mae was born May 16, 1933, to Earl and Lois Bray in Houlka, a small town in Chickasaw County, Mississippi.
Rubye Mae passed away unexpectedly December 23, 2025. She’s reunited in heaven with Glenn Ukestad, Paul Riggs, and her daughter, Brenda Ukestad. Family was very important to her and she dedicated her life to being a mom and grandma. She will be deeply missed and her memory cherished through the many loved ones she leaves behind including her daughters: Sharon Walker and Cindy Garland, her five grandchildren: John Walker, Jammie Stott, Yawna Garland, Sharaya Garland, and Taylor Escobedo, and her five great-grandchildren.
Services and visitation for Rubye will be held on January 11, 2026, from 9-12pm at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, followed by a burial at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
