Rudolfo Aleardi

Rudolfo Aleardi, 98, of North Providence passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Valerie Alardi Dilorenzo and Franciso “Frank” Alardi.

After leaving school, Rudy proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He served during both World War II and the Korean War. He was wounded during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient.

He is survived by his beloved daughters Valerie (Costa) Barber and her husband Philip, and Gloria (Cookie) Townsend and her husband Paul. He was the grandfather of Brandon Aleardi, Zachary Aleardi, and Aaron Aleardi. He was predeceased by his son Rudy (Costa) Aleardi, a brother Andrew Alardi and a sister Gloria Alardi Franks.

The family would like to thank the staff of Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island for taking care of Rudy for the last several years and would also like to thank Hope Health Hospice for their comfort in Rudy’s last days.

Family and Friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday,November 2, 2025, from 5:00 -7:00pm at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. A Committal Service with military honors will be held on Monday November 3, 2025, at 12:30pm at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. All who wish to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery at 12:15pm.
