Rudolph John Pucek was reunited with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 27, 2022. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Joanne S. (Capozzi) Pucek, his parents, Rudolph and Lottie Pucek, brother Robert Pucek, brother-in-law William Orband, parents-in-law Michael and Josephine Capozzi, sister-in-law Louise Capozzi, brother-in-law Anthony Capozzi and special friend Father Simeon. He is survived by his loving children JoAnne Pucek, Michael Pucek, Mary Beth and Mark Walsh, grandchildren Lauren and Brian Blackham, Jessica and Danny McHugh, Derrick Pucek, Zachary, Alex, and Sydney Walsh, great-grandchildren Kyler and Avery Blackham, sisters Julianne Orband, Lorraine and Walter Kessler, Mary Pucek, cousins (especially in Canada), godson Robert Pucek Jr., nieces, nephews, and special friend Father Brennan. Rudy was a member of St. Cyril's Church where he was an usher for many years, a member of Alter Rosary, Couples Club, and CYO basketball coach. Rudy graduated from Binghamton Central High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed a 38 year life-long career in finance with Singer-Link. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, cheering enthusiastically from the sidelines, and watching them perform theatre, giving standing ovations every time. He had his own loving nicknames for each of his grandchildren, which he happily shared with the rest of the world. Rudy enjoyed watching games shows and old westerns with Joanne, but his beloved Notre Dame took precedence over them all. There was a great deal of screaming at the TV screen! He loved to talk to people, whether he knew them or not, and was already ready with a joke or wisecrack.
His life was devoted to God and his family. He shared his faith with everyone he met and inspired people with his faith, kindness, integrity and generosity. Rudy was the best husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa you could ever have. We would like to thank the UHS Wilson Hospital Staff and Binghamton Fire Medics for their caring and kindness. Special thanks to Dr. Julia Miller, Dr. Frank Eder, Dr. David Sperber, Dr. Jeffrey King and Dr. James Marusich, in addition to the amazing office staff that he loved to see at each visit. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Rudy's memory may be made to St. Cyril's Church, 148 Clinton St, Binghamton 13905.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Cyril and Methodius Church, Clinton Street, Binghamton, Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Cyril and Methodius Church, Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Rudolph may be made to St. Cyril and Methodius Church, 148 Clinton Street, Binghamton, NY 13905. I worked in the Security department for Links for 12 years and saw Rudy almost daily. He always got in my pools and stopped to talk. I recall trying his famous rum balls during the Christmas season and they should had rum in them. Great guy, great family and all good friends.

Rudy was a true gentleman that I knew from Singer Link for 12 years and occasionally in community events. Rudy participated in every pool that I ran while at Link and enjoyed our many conversations
