Rudolph "Rudy" Henry Miller Jr. | May 22, 1952 - September 22, 2025

Rudy always liked to work hard and play hard. He started out as a young boy working long hours on the family farm. During primary school he met his future wife Susan. He graduated high school from Mooers Central School in 1970. Rudy and Susan were married in 1972, built their home in Mooers Forks, and created their family. They built a life on strong family values and hard work ethic. Rudy went on to become a heavy equipment operator at the Mooers Landfill and spent his later years working for the NCCS School District as the head of maintenance where he finally retired in 2008. He was proud of his time served on the Mooers Town Board. Rudy's life work came in the form of building and operating Lazy Days Campsites with his wife Susan for 27 years. He owned several businesses over the years including an oil delivery company, a sugaring business, and pools & spas sales.

Rudy also enjoyed spending any downtime he could get by being the life of the party whenever he got the chance. He was never one to turn down a toast and truly enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. Rudy liked to travel around the country with his wife Sue, and they spent many holidays in New Hampshire with their immediate family. Known as Poppa to his grandkids and great grandchildren, Rudy was always up to helping them cause a little mischief, usually involving something motorized, in his earlier years with the grandkids. Even as he became (Great) Poppa, he was always willing to help the kids open the noisiest present at Christmas time, or sneak extra Hershey's Kisses before Easter Dinner.

Left to carry on his memory, is his wife of 53 years, Susan (Bulriss) Miller. Rudy also leaves behind his daughter Megan Miller and her children; Saya McDonald and Winfred "Winnie" Simpson IV, as well as his daughter Melissa Greeno, her husband Tim Greeno, and their children and grandchildren; Kyle & Felicia St. Clair and their daughter Stormi, Keenan & Libby St. Clair and their daughters Myra and Bria, Heather Greeno & Justin Feeley and their daughters Maci and Layla, and James Greeno. Also left to remember him are Rudy's brothers, nieces and nephews; Joseph Miller, his wife Sheila Miller, and their children Staci Miller Morrelli (Scott Morrelli) and Bradley Miller, and his brother Phillip Miller, his wife Debbie Miller, and their children Robbie Miller (partner Carol Leggett and their daughter Abby Leggett) and Travis Miller, as well as his nephew Rich Acors (Giselle Acors). Also left to carry Rudy's memory is his brother in law Bruce Bulriss, his wife Crystal Bulriss, and their children; Keith & Jessica Bulriss and their sons Eddie & Alex, as well as Tony & Jennifer Bulriss and their children Madison & Isaac. Rudy also left behind his sister in law Sharon Duchaine, nieces and nephews Heather & Jason Skinner and their daughter Gemma, and Heath & Shelby Duchaine and their children Aubree, Eli, and Harper. Others left to carry Rudy's memory include his special cousin Alan Miller and his wife Darleen Miller. Rudy was predeceased in life by his father, Rudolph Miller Sr., his mother Ruth (Gokey) Miller, his sister Rose Marie Acors, her husband Richard Acors, his parents in law Beverly & Edward Bulriss, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

The Miller family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for the Hospice of the North Country staff, the Mooers Champlain EMS, Alan, Barry, and Kevin, for all their assistance and support during the past several months in caring for Rudy.
