Rudy C. Ramon, 76, passed away on September 5, 2025, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Born on January 1, 1949, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Rudy lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his passions.

Rudy proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970, achieving the rank of SP5 while stationed in Korea. His time in the military reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment-qualities that would continue to define him throughout his life.

In the 1970s, Rudy began his professional journey at General Motors. During the 1980s, he worked at Clarks Equipment and also ventured into entrepreneurship as the owner and operator of Ramon's Mexican Villa. Later in life, he brought his wide-ranging skills to Kellogg Community College, where he worked in facilities maintenance until his retirement. Even after retiring, Rudy never truly stopped working-his hands were always busy with projects large and small.

Rudy was a man of many talents and interests. He had a deep love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and could often be found riding one of his beloved Harleys. He enjoyed fishing and golfing and was an avid sports fan who rarely missed a game. Known for being skilled in nearly every trade, Rudy was always ready to lend a hand-he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His generosity and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Ramon; daughter Teresa Ramon; son Ruben Ramon; grandson Ruben (Amanda) James Ramon; great-grandchildren Hazel Ramon, Vaida Ramon, and Parker Mayo; sister Dolores Carlisle; brother-in-law Charles Carlisle; special friend Debbie Mauk; and several nieces and nephews.

Rudy was preceded in death by his father Ismael Ramon; mother Amelia Ramon; brother Rogelio Ramon; sister Dora Ramon; and brother Ismael John Ramon.

Rudy's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, hard work, and unwavering spirit. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on September 17, 2025, at 03:00 PM at Fort Custer National Cemetery 15501 Dickman Rd. Following the service there will be a Celebration of Life at The Elks 1200 Harmonia Rd.
