Ruediger Adolf Knippel

Rüdiger Adolf Knippel, known affectionately as "Rudy", passed away on December 13, 2024, in Northfield, Ohio at the age of 88. He was born on February 1, 1936, in Saarbrücken, Germany to the late Peter and Luise Knippel. He joins his siblings Kurt, Ilse, Helga, Franz, Anneliese, Ursula, and Klaus Knippel in eternal peace.
Rudy is survived by his loving wife, Angele "Maryse" Knippel, his daughter Nathalie (Kurt) Kahrl, and his grandchildren Darienne, Tristan, and Caitlin. He is also survived by his sister Heidi Schwender, who will cherish his memory forever.
Rudy was a man of many talents and passions. He had a deep love for nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was camping under the stars or hiking through the mountains. He loved opera, classical music and soccer, but most of all he loved people. Throughout his life, Rudy was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His kind and generous spirit touched the lives of many. We remember him for the joy he brought to all who knew him.
A service to celebrate Rudy's life will be held at 10 AM Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2928 Scranton Road, Cleveland, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory. Arrangements by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, Hudson, Ohio. www.johnsonromito.com,
Rudy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence brought warmth and light to the lives of those around him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by God and the beauty of his creation he so dearly loved.
