Runette Lillie Bearden, 91, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. She was born on August 8, 1934, to the late Walter “Brownie” and Lula Hartley Fuller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Alecia Bearden.
Runette was a faithful Christian and devoted her time to serving the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Runette is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Rev. Lamar Bearden; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry Bearden, Lynn and Mary Bearden; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Steve Carroll; sister, Barbara Ralston; grandchildren, Jonathan Carroll, Matthew Carroll, Silas Carroll, Andrew Bearden, and Adeline Bearden; great-grandchildren, Emma, Lily, Zeke, Sophia, and Kinsley Carroll; special nephews, Jason Ralston and Matt Bell. Other nieces, nephews, and relatives survive.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM from New Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Andrew Bearden, Rev. Gene Smith, and Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jonathan Carroll, Matthew Carroll, Silas Carroll, Andrew Bearden, Zeke Carroll, and Steve Carroll. Her granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Her body will lie in state from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church.
