Russ Bronson Bourget, 12-year-old son of Levi and Tiffany Bourget, departed this earth much too soon on Saturday, July 20, 2024. He was a member of Grace Christian Church, where he loved youth group, dedicated his life to God and was baptized last January. Russ was a bright and caring student at Scott County Middle School. Russ loved reading funny graphic novels, drawing and creating things. Soccer and golf were two of his favorite sports to play and he loved to watch the Cats and the Bengals whenever he could.
Russ was so thoughtful, caring, and giving. He loved to make cards and write letters to show love to people for all occasions. Russ had a God given gift to read people's faces and know how they were feeling whether good or bad. He could always say just the right thing to make them smile or laugh. He had a big personality, loved to talk and rarely hesitated to say what was on his mind. This included letting people know how much they meant to him as well as his unfiltered bluntness at times. He was a determined young man who often set goals for himself and worked hard to achieve them. He looked up to his older brother Cash and wanted to be just like him and do all the things he does. His sister, Maive, was a close friend and they spent lots of time together which included sibling quarrels and lots of laughter. EllaDrew was the big sister that he would talk into getting him Starbucks and other food, and he held a soft spot in her heart. His impact on his family and entire community was tremendous during the short time that he had.
Russ will always hold a special place in the hearts of his parents, Levi and Tiffany (Harrod) Bourget, siblings, EllaDrew Bourget, Cash Bourget, Maive Bourget, maternal grandmother, Vicky (Lloyd) Bingham, paternal grandparents, Bob and Carol Bourget, aunts, Bethany (Jon) Bryan, Hannah (Shawn) Rinehart, Faith (Thomas) Hay, and many cousins. Russ was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jonathan Harrod.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Grace Christian Church, 1648 Lexington Road, Georgetown, Kentucky. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, July 26, 2024 also at Grace Christian Church with Dr. Andrew Brown officiating.
Russ had a list of "Life Goals" and one of the items on the list was to donate a certain amount money to help the homeless. In lieu of flowers the family request that all donations be made in his honor to the AMEN House homeless outreach, PO Box 211, Georgetown, KY 40324. Friends and family are encouraged to leave messages of condolence and share memories here on Russ's tribute wall.

Hi there. We don't know each-other, but I just heard about this little guy's death on "You-Tube", and I wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. A little bird told me he wished to raise five-thousand dollars for home-less people be-fore he died. His thoughtfulness, compassion and generosity would've probably made the world a better place to live. It has been almost a month since he went to his for-ever home - I wonder what he's doing now...

my first memory is going to car rider line at scms and seeing his bright smile. my friend kam introduced me to him as she knew him first. He immediately said hi to me and started to talk to me. I then remember him going to grab the dots off the floor racing the other students because he loved getting the candy and giving it out to people. He then shared some with me and said thag i was now his friend and i agreed. He was the sweetest.
