Russell . E Sampson Jr.

Russell E. Sampson Jr. , a retired Real Rstate Attorney, passed away on Saturday, September 18th, after a lengthy illness. Russell was born in Malden in 1959, the son of Russell E. and Caorlyn A. Sampson Sr. He was raised in Malden, graduating from Malden High School with the Class of 1977. After high school he attended Amherst College where he received his degree in English. He then attended NE School of Law, graduating in 1984 with his Juris Doctor, becoming an attorney. Later he earned his Masters in Banking Law from Boston University. Russell went on to have a successful career as a Real Estate Attorney in the greater Boston area, eventually opening his own practice.

In his spare time he enjoyed watching the Boston Bruins, Red Sox, and Patriots and heading into Boston for nights out dining with his friends. He also liked the occasional visit to a casino with his sister.

He is survived by his sisters, Barbara Davidson of Northboro, Elisabeth Paige of Westminster, and Carolyn Wilkinson of Methuen, his nieces and nephews, Michael and Brian Dunn, Brandon, Gordon, Allysha and Cory Paige, Christopher, Catelyn, and Cole Wilkinson, as well as many more great nieces and great nephews. Russell was much loved by his family and friends for his generosity of spirit and great kindness.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Russell E. Sr, and Carolyn A. Sampson.

Funeral services will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Thursday, September 23rd at 10 AM. Committal will be private. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept 22nd, from 4-8 PM.
