Russell Buck, Jr. Obituary

Russell Buck, Jr, 93, of Lewis Center, formally of Westerville, passed away November 9, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born in Columbus on March 28, 1932 to the late Russell and Florence (Emerson) Buck, Sr.

Those left to cherish memories of Russell include dear cousins, extended family, friends, and those he touched with his heart in life.

Along with his parents, Russell was preceded in death by brother, Gary Buck; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Russell was also preceded in death and very close to his dear cousins Harold and Arthur Lee. They grew up together, they worked together and they played together, also known as the Three Musketeers.

Russell served in the United States Army from late 1951 to 1953. When he returned from service, Russell opened his own business working in stucco and plaster for many years until his retirement. When he wasn’t working, he loved to travel and was known to be a Man of Adventure. He loved to go boating, and was very athletic; his love of sports included bowling, golf, tennis and watching football, the Cleveland Browns and The OSU Buckeyes. He also loved playing card games, poker with friends and playing as he called them tickies or scratchies (lottery scratch offs) with his Barber.

He was known to have a big, sentimental heart; putting all he loved before himself. He was a charitable but human gent who wished to help his fellow man giving to several charitable organizations. He spread his love through his baking, and his sense of humor that he had until the very end.

Family will greet friends and family for a celebration of life at The Inn at Bear Trail, 8199 Monroe Drive, Lewis Center, OH 43035 on December 6, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

The Newcomer family is honored to serve the Buck and Lee families.
