Russell Malcom

Russell Dean Malcom, 62, of Liberal, passed away on Saturday August 16, 2025 at Southwest Medical Center.

He was born on June 16, 1963 to Wallace and Audrey (Naegele) Malcom in Liberal, KS.

On January 6, 2022 he married Donna (Smith) Adkins in Liberal.

Over the years Russell had worked at various local fast food restaurants. He was a laid back, easy going guy who enjoyed bird watching and piecing together jigsaw puzzles. Russell also had a bit of a green thumb with the flowers and plants around his home. He enjoyed sitting around a pit fire or around his yard listening to the radio. Russell was very close with his mother Audrey and his brother Lucky. He was a member of Liberal's Nuts & Bolts Organization and was also a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Liberal. 

Russell is survived by his loving wife Donna, Four Sisters, Terry Lofland and husband Udell of Liberal, KS, Betty Jean Harris and husband Walter of Ft. Mojave, AZ, Francine Armes and husband Bill of Casa Granda, AZ, Jaunita Tyrl and husband Pete of Ajo, AZ; Brother, Richard Malcom of Ajo, AZ. 

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wallace and Audrey Malcom and Brother, Lucky Joe Malcom. 

There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life Service may be announced at a later date.
