Russell George Reese, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, at Lynridge Assisted Living in Waco, Texas. Born on August 30, 1944, in Atlanta, Georgia, Russell lived a life marked by dedication, both to his family and his country.

Russell proudly served as a Master Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps for an impressive 24 years before transitioning to a role as an agent with the Department of Defense's Immigration and Naturalization Service, where he served for an additional 10 years. His commitment to his duties was evidenced not only by his rank but also by his accomplishments as an expert marksman and top secret security officer.

Russell married Patricia Ann Reese on February 23, 1963, in Nevada, with whom he shared a remarkable love story that spanned 55 years until her passing. Together, they built a family filled with love and joy. Now reunited, they leave behind a legacy that will endure through their children and grandchildren. His strong ties to his community were evident through his involvement with Calvary Chapel in San Diego County, California, where he found a sense of purpose.

Russell is survived by his daughters, Kathy Prado and Sherry Boone, and son Russell Reese, Jr. He also leaves behind his son-in-law, Mario Prado; grandchildren Elliott Boone, Jessica O'Loughlin, Makayla O'Loughlin, Russell Reese III, Zachary Reese and Mellisa Reese; and great-grandson, Ellis Boone. Each of these family members carries forward Russell's values, humor, and kindness.

Russell's memory will be honored during a Celebration of Life funeral Mass, Marine funeral honors and inurnment on Saturday, June 28 at 1pm at the Calvary Funeral Center, 7101 Verner Ave., Citrus Heights, CA 95621. Friends, family, and all who were touched by his love and service are invited to join in remembering a remarkable man whose impact will be felt for generations to come.
