In Loving Memory of Lee Reese
A Life Beautifully Lived
We are sad to announce the passing of Lee Reese, who left us peacefully on May 11.2025.
Lee was a loved family member and friend who inspired everyone who knew her.
Career
Lee, along with her mom, owned a successful restaurant in Renton, WA. She later moved to
Alton IL where she had a successful career in food services management at Principia College.
Later in life, she transitioned into a customer service position with American Water. She retired
in 2022.
Early Life and Education
Lee was born August 7, 1955 in Scranton, PA to Reese Reese and Mary Thomas Reese. She
attended Lackawanna Trail High School in Factoryville, PA, Bloomsburg State University and
the University of Washington.
Family and Personal Life
Lee was a loving sister and aunt. She is survived by her brother Dave and his wife Kathy,
nephews Benjamin and Kevin, great nieces Penelope and Maude, and great nephew Charlie.
Community Involvement
Lee was deeply involved in her church, The First Church Christ Scientist, Alton/Godfrey. She
supported animal rescue, specifically Love a Golden Rescue. Her generosity and compassion
touched many lives.
Hobbies and Interests
Lee enjoyed cooking, gardening, and bird-watching. She found joy in every activity and
inspired others to do the same.
Legacy
Lee leaves a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love. Her memory will be cherished by all
who knew her.
