Russell Streifert

Russell Streifert passed away peacefully Sunday night, the 21st of September, 2025, in the loving embrace of his only adult child, Stephanie, the care and love of his previous spouse, Gatha, and in the presence of the many warm and wonderful caregivers at Saratoga Hospital, in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Russell will be remembered as he lived, a beloved husband, brother, son, uncle and father- not only to his own daughter but to their many friends. A person of incredible wit, tenderness, intellect, handiness, an endless source of satire, and most of all, a lover of music, and humor. Russell was a hard-working, capable, and determined man who never pinched a penny when it came to the wants and or needs of his friends and family. "The little luxuries in life are important," and "We may only have this one time," he was heard to say, when offering to pay for the movies, concerts, clothes, or about food or cars, holidays or gifts.

Russell leaves behind his two brothers, his two nieces, Alison (Nate) and their three children, Coryn, Chaeli, and Zachary; Laura (Austin) and their two children Ella and Benjamin; and his nephew baby Ryan, who is in heaven, through Rick and his wife, Beth. Through his brother, Barry, he leaves behind his nephew Matthew, (Alana) and their child Emma.

He was a great provider to his family; a caregiver to his mother, Beverly Streifert, a caring middle-sibling to his younger brother Barry Streifert and his older brother, Ricky Streifert, a loving and giving Uncle to his nieces and nephews and their many children, a teacher and mentor to his daughter Stephanie, as well as her greatest fan, a father-in-family to Justin, who he loved as his own, with Stephanie; and held the utmost adoration for his only grandchild, Beverly; named after her great-grandmother, who preceded Russell in everlasting life in heaven; in her honor.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday, September 28 from 2pm to 4pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A service will be held at 4pm. All who knew and loved Russell are welcome, regardless of time passed.
