Russell Taylor Sr. Obituary
Russell James Taylor Sr., 81, of Wooster, passed away September 28, 2025 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, in Wooster.
Russell was born August 25, 1944 in Massillon, Ohio to Clarence and Nellie Irene {James} Taylor.
Russell was a Truck Driver for many years. He loved fishing, working on cars and spending time with his family.
Russell will be deeply missed by his children Judy (Richard) Beckett, Wanda (Dennis) Amstutz, and Russell (Belinda) Taylor Jr.; step-children Melody (Charlie) Duskey, Lorna Duskey, and Mariah (Ken) Dawson; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Marilyn Thomas; and partner Judie White.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert and Donald Taylor, sister Ruth Akers, step-son Chris Phillips, and grandsons Richard Beckett and Brandon Taylor.
Friends may call Thursday October 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Russell-Taylor). Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare at 1900 Akron Rd. Wooster, OH 44691.
