Russell Tew, 90, of Hope Mills passed away Sunday May 25, 2025 at Valley Hospice House in Fayetteville.
He is the son of the late William Fairley and Alma Hobson Tew. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Grey Register Tew and brothers William Cary Tew and Kenneth Daniel Tew.
He is survived by daughters, Susan Barbry and husband Ernest of Sanford, Gwen Snipes and husband Fletcher of Hope Mills, Terri Decker of Fayetteville; son, Frank Tew and wife Sharon of Fayetteville; brothers, Mitchell Tew and wife Iris and Tim Tew and wife June both of Fayetteville and Robert Tew & wife Retha of Lakeland, FL; sisters, Patricia White and husband Rex of Wilmington and Mary Anne O'Connor of New Hampshire; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild in utero and his beloved dog Hank.
Russell served in the National Guard. He retired after 50 years as parts manager in the automotive industry.
Russell was an avid fisherman, golfer, crafter, wood worker and gardener.
He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
