Russellene Hall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by E M Coots' Sons Inc Funeral Home on Mar. 30, 2026.
Russellene Hall, 77, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Green Valley Care Center. Born on November 5, 1948, to the late James and Betty Oliver, Russellene was a woman of simple pleasures and deep devotion to her family. Throughout her life, she was a familiar and friendly face to many in the community through her work at the local Coin Laundry and Dollar Tree.

Russellene was a talented crafter who found joy in the quiet rhythm of crocheting and needle stitching. She had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and especially loved flowers of all kinds. However, her true "sport" was shopping. A frequent visitor to Kohl's and Walmart, her husband Bob often joked that given how much time she spent there, the store should be renamed "Hall-Mart." Nothing shone brighter in Russellene's life than the Christmas season; she cherished the holidays and the precious time spent surrounded by those she loved. Above all else, she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Hall Sr. of Jeffersonville, IN; her son, Robert A. Hall Jr. (Shannon) of New Albany, IN; and her daughter, Brenda K. Knight of Clarksville, IN. She also leaves behind her brother, Jerry Oliver of Louisville, KY; her sister, Linda Wyatt of Clarksville, IN; four grandchildren, Corey, Courtney (Kaleb), Zach (Makayla), and Chance; and five great-grandchildren, Maddie, Lucas, Oliver, Skylar, and Athena. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jimmy Oliver and Alice Ann Winn.

Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating Russellene's life will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow immediately at Eastern Cemetery.
