Rustem Berisha

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rustem Berisha, a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Rustem passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Kosovo on September 28, 1934, Rustem grew up with a deep appreciation for his family and culture. Rustem's impact on those around him was immeasurable, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Rustem was a devoted father, putting the needs of his family and those close to him before his own. His loyalty and love for his children and his wife Xufe Berisha, were evident in everything he did. He lit up every room he was in with his contagious laughter and energy.
Rustem is survived by his wife, Xufe Berisha, five children, Skender (Nusha), Gjafer (Hata), Shaban, Fakete (Ram) and Gazmend (Fikrije), fourteen grandchildren, Rina (Frasher), Genta, Adelina, Duresa, Anita, Rinor, Blendi, Dardan, Andi, Donika, Altin, Defrim, Adrian and Edi, and one great grandchild, Rion who will miss him dearly. Rustem's memory will forever be cherished, and he will always be remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for those he cared about. Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon, on Thursday, February 6 from 3 to 9 p.m. Burial service will be Friday, February 7 at 11 a.m. at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill.
