Tajar Berisha
"Beloved husband, father, grandfather & brother"
Tajar Berisha, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the loving husband of Esma (Mustafa) Berisha.
Tajar was born in Gjilan, Kosovo on July 2, 1954, a son of the late Abdullah and Hajrije (Hasani) Berisha. Tajar was the vice president of a metal manufacturer in Kosovo before moving to the United States. He enjoyed soccer, and volunteered his time as a soccer coach, but truly loved the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Esma, he leaves a daughter, Jeta Berisha and her husband, Albi Cekici, of Watertown, his three loving grandchildren, Rana, Hana and Celnik Cekici, a brother Jakup Berisha of Gjilan, Kosovo, and a sister, Refiqe Memishi of Pristina, Kosovo.
Arrangements: A funeral service for Tajar will be held 9:30 a.m., Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
