RICHMOND, Ind. – Ruth Ann Blevins, age 75, of Richmond, Indiana, died Monday, April 14, 2025, at Reid Health surrounded by family.
Born September 14, 1949, in Berea, Kentucky, to John W. and Opal Smith, Ruth Ann had lived in this area since she was a child. She was a 1968 graduate of Short High School. Ruth Ann was owner and operator of J&R Janitorial Services and had also worked at Dana. She enjoyed cooking, especially for family, crocheting, flowers, gardening, and collecting angels. Ruth Ann loved God and was a dedicated member of Galilean Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Harley (Lance) Johnson; son, JohnBoy (Dorothy) Blevins; grandchildren, Chelsea Blevins, Savannah Blevins, Riley Blevins, and Jessie Johnson; great-grandchildren, Harmony Blevins and Nova Blevins; siblings, Terry J. Smith, Johnny Ray Smith, Seth (Lori) Smith, Austin Smith, Norma Robinson, and Lisa Sue (Mike) Klein; nieces; nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Blevins; son, Jessie J. Blevins; and sister, Teresa Low Smith-Shea.
Visitation for Ruth Ann Blevins will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Guffey officiating. Burial will be in Abington Cemetery.
