She loved her family and all of her friends. Ruth enjoyed cooking, entertaining and all kinds of sewing crafts, especially quilts and wall hangings.
In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, George. She is survived by her daughter, Starann LaBonte (Tom); son, Greg Breit (Jennifer); grandchildren, Heather LaBonte, Jennifer LaBonte, Matthew Breit; brother-in-law, Bill Linton; nephew, David Linton; nieces, Jeanne Urban, Lorie Carlson; and cousin, Karyn Cornell.
The funeral will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl. There she will be interred next to her husband on their what would be their 76th wedding anniversary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Via Health Partners Hospice and Palliative Care Lake Norman.
James Funeral Home, of Huntersville, is serving the family and obituary lovingly written by the family.
