Ruth Carnahan, a long-time resident of The Villages, died on December 20, 2025 of natural causes at the Harbor Chase Assisted Living facility in Lady Lake, Florida.

Ruth was born in Palestine, Ohio on May 5, 1934 to Harry and Selma Gough. Ruth was one of four children. She attended Liberty High School in Girard, Ohio. She was classmates with Lee Earl Carnahan. They were married for sixty-four wonderful years before Lee preceded her in death in 2021.

Ruth was a dedicated wife, loving mother, and grandmother. She was visited daily by her daughters Jane and Katherine, both residents of The Villages, and received daily calls from son David.

Ruth will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Ruth is survived by her children, David Carnahan and his wife Sharon, Jane Anderson and her husband Jerry, Katherine Timm and her husband Bill.

Ruth was blessed with seven grandchildren, John Wenda and wife Tracy, Robert Timm and wife Kristen, Elizabeth Donohue and husband Michael, Jennifer Harding and husband Ian, Rachel Coward & husband Stephen, Sarah Wenda, and Lee Carnahan and wife Casey.

Ruth's blessings continued with ten great grandchildren Hazel, Heidi, Jackson, Maggie, Felix, Murphy, Kesley, Kylie, Henry, and Molly.

Ruth is survived by two sisters, Katherine Martin, and Mary Ann Ryan.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Lee Carnahan, daughter Nancy Trimble and husband Ronald, along with her brother John Gough.

Ruth's funeral will be held at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 N US Highway 441 Lady Lake, FL 32159 December 29th, 2025. The viewing will begin at 10:00 AM and service will follow at 11:00 AM. She will be buried at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida alongside Lee, her husband, December 30th, 2025.

The burial will be for the immediate family.

Ruth was 91 when she entered into the loving arms of our Lord, and savior Jesus Christ.
