Ruth N. Cottrell

Ruth N. Cottrell, 92, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026. She was born March 9, 1934, in Lee County, Virginia, to the late Henry and Bessie (Wilson) Kinser. Ruth retired from AT&T in management after a lengthy career. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years. Above all else, she was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma, and she will be dearly missed.

Ruth's memory will be cherished by her children, Jeff Cottrell, Gayla (Michael) Johnson and Bryan (Lisa) Cottrell; grandchildren, Benjamin, Jessica, Amanda (Josh), Ashley, Trevor (Kaitlyn), and Devin (Deanna); great-grandchildren, Miley, Chloe, Elijah, Landry and Colton; sisters, Jean, Marilyn, and Yvonne; and brother, Bob. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Hubert C. Cottrell.

The family will welcome guests from 11:00 to 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio, with a service following at 1:00 pm. Ruth will be laid to rest at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick.
