ALLIANCE - Ruth Ann Crider, 65, died peacefully Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her home in Alliance.
Ruth was born on May 23, 1959, in Wheeling, W.Va. the daughter of the late Herman Richard and Ruth Ann (Woods) Gray Sr.
Ruth was a selfless, witty, and kind soul who deeply loved her family and her husband and soulmate, John Crider. Her home was a treasure trove of memories, reflected in the knick-knacks she collected over the years. Her natural affinity for children was evident, as they were instinctively drawn to her nurturing spirit and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth was a member of the Alliance Baptist Temple Church.
Survivors include John Crider, her husband and soulmate; children, Ruthie (Carl) Knag, Dale (Theresa) Knag, and Aimee Weaver, Scott (Mandy) Crider; grandchildren, Crystal, Tiffany, Matthew, Misty, Damon, Anthony, Andrea, Dale, Lexie, and Madison; great-grandchildren Sky and Asher; siblings, Edna Crist, Janet Sessor, Pam Trybend, and Herman Gray, Jr.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Kathleen Crider.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Alliance Baptist Temple with Pastor Randy Payne officiating.
