Ruth Williamson Crownover 79 of Bentonville passed away October 3, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She was born May 31, 1946, in Orange, Texas the daughter of Robert and Audrey Anderson - Williamson. She grew up a daddy's girl and loved her momma deeply. But she was also always a spitfire and rough housing with the boys. As a teenager, she often was spending summers at Camp Rocky River, doing as many horse related activities as she could, until she was old enough to become a counselor. As an adult, Ruth owned and operated a Ladies Clothing Store in Houston, Texas called "Style Plus" for many years. Ruth was definitely what you would call "The Boss," she knew what she wanted, and when, but she was so very kind at the same time. She wasn't a pushover, but you did her right, she was loyal to you.
She loved her horse, Blue, and her previous ones Goldie, Ladybug and Misty. She would often be at the barn, sun-up to sun-down, with the horses. She loved animals too, volunteered for many years for an organization called Save our Strays, and fostered/owned many animals as well. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Crownover, her beautiful daughter Kara Crownover, and her parents Robert Williamson & wife Audrey Anderson-Williamson.
She was the most amazing person, if you met her, you would know that. She touched the hearts of many. She sure could tell you off though, but, that's when she was standing up for what she believed in, which was mostly her family. She would fight tooth and nail for the ones she loved. She was funny, oh was she funny. Her solution to any bad day was "lets get a cake!"
She is survived by son, Scott Yingling & wife Ralynn grandchildren Zoë Gilbert, Shaey Lusty and Taylor Cheney, Daniel Benefield, and many great grandchildren.
