Schrader-Howell Funeral HomeRuth O. Devine, age 97 of Plymouth passed away on July 4, 2025. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 13, 1928 to her parents, the late Ernest and Felice (née Voss) Oliver.
Ruth graduated from Marygrove College, a private Roman Catholic graduate college in Detroit with a bachelor's degree. She is the beloved and devoted wife of the late Edward Devine and John Perkovich; loving mother of Rita (Ronald) Bochenek, Dennis (Patricia) Devine, Thomas Devine, John (Becky) Devine, Steven Devine, Mark (Alexa) Devine, Matthew (Michelle) Devine, Michael (Mary) Devine and the late Patrice Devine; proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Ruth was also blessed with having the Perkovich family in her life - Gerry, Danny (Jeanette), John (Debbie), Larry (Judy), Mary Jo, Susan (Doug), Tom (Diane), Nancy (Bob), and Nash (Theresa) along with 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Ruth was an avid tennis player and golfer. She loved gardening, the cottage in northern Michigan, casinos and card games. After raising nine children, Later in life, Ruth re-entered the work force as a Real Estate Agent in Plymouth, Michigan.
Friends may gather at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Monday, August 4, 2025 beginning at 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road, Plymouth from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 10:30 A.M.
