Ruth M. Fleagle

Ruth Marie Fleagle, 90, of Westminster, MD passed away Friday, April 11, 2025 at Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, MD. Born July 14, 1934 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry Jacob Zepp and Helen Elizabeth (née Schneider) Zepp. She was the wife of the late William Bailey Fleagle, who died in 1996. Mrs. Fleagle completed nursing training at Maryland General Hospital, graduating in 1956, and worked there as a registered nurse, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Covenant of Grace Presbyterian Church in Reisterstown, MD, where she was active in the ladies' group. She moved into Carroll Lutheran Village in 2014. A woman of kindness, strength, and service, Ruth touched many lives and leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Susan M. Fleagle and John Druhan of Bowie, MD; son and daughter-in-law, Brian W. and Carol Fleagle of Londonderry, NH; granddaughters, Kirstie Marie Hess and Megan Elizabeth Shower; grandson, Erick William Fleagle; four great-grandchildren, Alexis Fleagle, Dakota Fleagle, Xander Fleagle, and Katara Fleagle; and sister, Nancy Bresnahan of Henderson, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 2901 Bloom Road, Finksburg, MD. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village, Westminster with Rev. Ken Harris and Chaplain Charles Marshall officiating. Interment in New Lutheran Cemetery in Manchester, MD will be private.
