Ruth Galloway, 73, of Owensboro passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The Daviess County native was born August 6, 1952, as one of six children to the late Wilford and Nancy Galloway. Ruth graduated from Southern High School in Jefferson County with the class of 1971. After having her son, she went into the Air Force National Guard where she served for 23 years. Ruth enjoyed cooking, country music, and being with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Galloway.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Daniel Muehlbauer of Hazelton, Indiana; four grandchildren, Noah, Olivia, Adelaide, and Luca Muehlbauer Jones; brother, Rudy Galloway of Owensboro; sisters, Pat Epley also of Owensboro, Helen Hallmark, and Betty Creech both of Joplin, Missouri; nieces and nephews, John Epley, Dora Fisher, Jason Hallmark, Jeff Hallmark. Barbara Curl, Donna Lee, Donnie Galloway, Alexis, Sebastian, and Kinsley.
The funeral service will be noon Friday, November 14 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment with military honors will be in the Chapel of Peace at Rosehill Cemetery.
