Ruth Ann Gifford, 77, of Morton, IL passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Mason City Area Nursing Home. She was born on June 23, 1948 in Ashtabula, OH to William and Virginia (Langell) Blake. Ruth is survived by 2 children: Virginia (Christopher) Reedy of Mackinaw and Malcolm (Kate) Reese of East Peoria, 4 grandchildren: Gabriel Reedy, Abigail (Josiah) Murray, Rebecca (Jesse) Plattner, Liberty Reedy and her twin sister Rhea (Greg) Riley. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother William Blake. Ruth enjoyed knitting, embroidery, painting, reading books, watching the Hallmark channel and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Cremation rites have been accorded and per Ruth's wishes no services will take place. Online condolences can be left at www.hurleyfh.com. Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of the arrangements.
