Ruth H. Groff

Ruth H. Groff, 90, of New Providence, entered into rest on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at her home with her family by her side. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Norman D. and Emma (Herr) Miller. She was the loving wife of the late Jacob R. Groff for 42 years at the time of his passing in 1996.
Ruth was a member of New Providence Mennonite Church. In her later years, she worked in the deli at both Mussers and Darrenkamps. She enjoyed flower gardening and canning, as well as spending time with her family.
Ruth is survived by 5 children: Don Groff, Gerald (Debra) Groff, Jean (Jay) Hurst, Ann (Bob) High, Lynne (Tim) Redcay; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Miller.
A Memorial Service will take place at New Providence Mennonite Church, 121 Main St., New Providence, PA on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 4:30 PM. The family will greet friends at the church from 3:30 – 4:30 PM. Traditional interment will be private in the adjoining cemetery.
