Obituary of Robert Lester Groff

Robert "Bob" L. Groff II, 65, of Oxford, New Jersey, passed away on January 30, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

Bob was born on June 2, 1960, to Joan Groff-Trevorrow and the late Robert L. Groff I. He grew up in the Oxford and attended Warren Hills Regional High School. A lifelong resident of the community, Bob dedicated over 30 years of his working life to J & D Auto Body in Washington, New Jersey, where he was known for his strong work ethic and skill. He retired in 2017.

Bob proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for six years and received an honorable discharge from his final post at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Outside of work, Bob found great joy in working on cars for friends and family, always ready to lend a helping hand. Above all else, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Jody Groff; his mother, Joan Groff-Trevorrow; his sister, Rhonda DeBacco and her husband Tom; his brother, Randy Groff and his wife Bonnie; his daughters, Sarah Groff and Amber Adams and her husband Woody; and his cherished grandchildren, Noah, Roger, Everly, and Ellie Mae. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Bob was predeceased by his father, Robert L. Groff I, as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Bob will be laid to rest on June 2, 2026, at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery. The exact time will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob's memory may be made to the Oxford Emergency Squad located at 76 Academy Street, Oxford, New Jersey 07863.
