ROCK HILL, SC ~ Mrs. Ruth Annette Beavin Haupenthal, age 81, passed away August 9, 2025. Ruth was born August 31, 1943, in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late Paul Alton Beavin and Kathleen Annette Barnhart Beavin and was the loving wife of the late Patrick Haupenthal. Ruth enjoyed music, playing the flute and piano, and doing crafts. Family was most important to her, and she loved them all dearly. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir.

Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Linda Mackay (Scott) and Suzan Gilson (Michael); four grandchildren, David Mackay (Whitney), Laura Jordan (Matt), Anna Mackay (Liam) and Christine Gilson; two great grandchildren, Mason Mackay and Harvey Mackay; a brother, Mark Beavin (Judi); three sisters, Barbara Yost (Douglas), Janet McCormack (Tom), and Kathi Roberts (Cody); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Kathleen Beavin; and brother, Paul S. Beavin.
