INDIAN LAND, SC – Mr. James "Jim" Allen Duncan, age 86, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025. He was born May 14, 1939, a son of the late William Joseph Duncan and the late Gladys Logan Duncan and was the loving husband of Gloriann Hicks Duncan. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He retired after 38 years as a stagehand at Lincoln Center in New York City. Jim was an avid sailor and loved his sailboats. He resided in Sun City, where he was a member of the Model Yacht Club and Performing Arts Club. Building sets and setting up for performances was a great passion of his. Jim never met a stranger and loved talking and interacting with others. His family was most important to him, and he loved them all dearly.

Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloriann Duncan; two sons, Matthew Duncan (D.B.) and Michael Duncan; two daughters, Suzy Tinney and Christa Duncan (Chris); a granddaughter, Samantha Duncan-Goodemote (Don); sister, Gladys "Happy" Fisher; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gladys Duncan; and brother, William "Billy" Duncan, Jr.
