LANCASTER, SC – Benjamin "Ben" Lee Small, age 44, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025. He was born on July 19, 1981, the son of Ira B. Small III and the late Sandra Crenshaw Small and was the loving husband of Jennifer Funderburk Small. Ben was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved spending time with his family and loved the Lord and was a member of Canaan Free Will Baptist Church.

Ben is survived by his wife, Jennifer Small; his two children, Payton Small and Mason Small; his father, Ira B. Small III; his two siblings, Mandi Campbell (Kevin), and Greg Small (Lindsay); his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kermit and Shelby Funderburk; his sister-in-law, Amy Berry; his nieces and nephews, Cameron Campbell, Raygen Small, Tanner Small, Tyler Johnson, and Cameron Minelli; and many other special family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Small.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ben will be 2:00 pm Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Mitch Gulledge. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge ARP Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Canaan Free Will Baptist Church, 1527 Kershaw Camden Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720.
