Ruth Evelyn Crotts Haynes, 95, of Archdale, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on January 21, 2026. She was born on September 19, 1930, in Randolph County, North Carolina, to the late William Henry Crotts and Ella Myers Crotts.

Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. Haynes, who passed away in 2007; her son, John Randall "Randy" Haynes; her brothers, Walter Crotts and William "Junior" Crotts; her daughter-in-law, Regina Haynes; and her sisters-in-law, Janice Crotts and Mary Crotts.

She is survived by her loving son, Terry Haynes of Randleman, North Carolina; her brother, Branson Crotts of Archdale; and her sister-in-law, Cherry Crotts of Archdale. She also leaves behind a large and cherished family, including her grandchildren: Lisa Parnell and husband Scottie, Bradley Haynes and wife Chrissy, Tiffany Haynes and husband Robert, Megan Haynes and husband Chris, Miranda Haynes and husband George, Kimberly Haynes, and Carly Haynes. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Keileigh Smith and husband Jared, Brandon Haynes, Hannah Parnell and husband Eric, Lilly Haynes, and Emma Haynes, as well as her great-great-grandchildren, Brennan Bell, Kaison Smith, Kameron Smith, and Evelyn Haynes.

Ruth was a faithful member of Old Union Church in Sophia, North Carolina, and was a woman of deep and abiding faith. She loved the Lord and lived her life as a reflection of that devotion. She found great joy in tending her garden and canning vegetables, and she was well known for her love of cooking-especially her cakes, which became famous enough to earn her recognition in the Archdale Trinity News. A talented seamstress, Ruth delighted in sewing quilts and making clothes for her family, gifts that carried her love in every stitch.

Above all, Ruth loved her family deeply and treasured every moment spent with them. Her warmth, kindness, and steadfast faith will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Old Union Church in Sophia, with Pastor Robert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Randolph, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, North Carolina 27262.
