Ruth Anna Kensinger, 83, of Claysburg, went home to be with the Lord at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. She married Karl Hoenstine on February 23, 1962, at the Upper Klahr Church. He preceded her in death in 1991. She later married Robert Kensinger on July 10, 1995, in Virgina. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2012.

Ruth is survived by two sisters: June Weyandt of Roaring Spring, and Beverly Benson (Don) of East Freedom. She is also survived by a dear friend, who was like another sister, Linda Feathers of Claysburg.

She was the oldest daughter of Anna Atlanta (Finnegan) and James Weyandt of Claysburg.

She was a 1960 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. After high school she was employed by Peggy's Diner. She also worked at Cove Shoe, Loungeray, and later drove school van for 29 years. She had a deep love for children though she had none of her own.

Ruth was a member of the Claysburg Church of God.

Her interests included traveling with friends, shopping, going out to eat, reading her Bible, and watching T.V. ministers when she was unable to attend her church.

She loved having company visit and had so many family members, friends, and caregivers that she loved so much. Her latest pleasure was little Braxton Gambardella who she loved to hold and watch grow, her love for him filled her with joy.

Friends will be received on Saturday February 21, 2026, from Noon until the 4:00 P.M. funeral service at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Pastor Robert Sluder officiating. Interment will be at Bedford County Memorial Park.
