Ruth E. Lee, 89, of Quarryville, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Born in Drumore, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Ethel (Dickson) Phipps. She was the loving wife of the late Robert G. Lee for 47 years at the time of his passing in 2008.
Ruth was a loving and active homemaker and a 68-year member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Quarryville. She volunteered for the Red Cross at Lancaster General Hospital for over 25 years and was the treasurer for the Berwick Band Boosters for several years. Ruth enjoyed traveling with her husband, touring various lighthouses along the East Coast. She especially enjoyed spending time in Ocean City, New Jersey.
Ruth is survived by 2 sons, Robert (Sandy) Lee of Quarryville; and Roger (Julie) Lee of West Lampeter Twp. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren: Robert Lee, Jennifer Bitner, Cheri Rupert, Troy Miskelley; and 5 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will take place at Memorial United Methodist Church, 101 S. Hess St., Quarryville, PA on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Traditional interment will be private in the Quarryville Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
