Ruth Elaine "Sandy" Lemler, 77, of Blooming Grove, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025. Born on May 24, 1948, in Corsicana, Ruth grew up with a love for animals and an unwavering desire to help others. Throughout her life, she wore many hats, taking immense pride in her career in home health, her service at the Prison System, and her leadership running Main Street Motors. Ruth was a steadfast presence in her community, always eager to lend a helping hand and offer heartfelt advice. Known to friends as Sandy, she was an avid animal lover and dedicated dog rescuer, opening her home and heart to countless four-legged companions over the years. Those who knew her valued her wisdom, her quick wit, and her remarkable listening skills. Ruth also cherished adventure, frequently embarking on cruises and journeys to exciting destinations alongside beloved friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Buddy Black and Mary Jane Black and her husband Gerald "Jerry" Calvin Lemler. She is survived by her children Terry Boss (Jackie) of Columbus, GA, Ricci Boss (Jeanne) of Longview, TX, Crystal Schuette (Randy) of Victoria, TX and 8 Grandchildren. Ruth's legacy is one of compassion, service, and generosity. She touched countless lives-both human and animal-with her warmth and kindness. Ruth Elaine Lemler will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. According to her wishes no services will be held.
