Ruth Ellen Beasley Manning, 86, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from complications of mesothelioma. She is survived by her daughters, Teri Manning and Pamela Manning Silva, her grandson, Luke Padgett, her son-in-law, Michael Silva, her brothers James Beasley and Scott Beasley and Scott's wife Paula of Nacogdoches, Texas, four nieces and nephews and their spouses, and nine grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was born in Waldron, Arkansas, on April 15, 1939, the first child of Paul Park Beasley and Alice Ruth Bentley Beasley.

She grew up with her brothers and numerous first cousins in the Ouachita Mountains of western Arkansas and southeastern Oklahoma before the family relocated to East Texas.

After graduating from Lufkin High School, Ms. Manning moved to Dallas and met Nolan Howell Manning at the Peak and East Side Church of Christ, where they were married in September of 1958.

Ruth and Nolan raised their two daughters in Oak Cliff and were members of the Cockrell Hill Church of Christ.

Ruth graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She worked more than 30 years for Vought Aircraft before retiring. Her most notable assignment was the then highly classified B-2 bomber program.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Pamela Coleman Beasley.

A Memorial Service for Ruth will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Jeter & Son Funeral Home, 4830 W. Illinois Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75211 at 11:00 a.m.
