Ruth Ann (Clarke) McLucas passed away, January 5, 2025, at Sterling Care South Mountain in Boonsboro, Maryland. Born September 13, 1959, in College Park Maryland. She was the second child of 5 from the late Charles C. Clarke Sr, and Barbara F. (Wilhelm) Clarke.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Deborah M. (Clarke) McDonald; Brother Charles C. Clarke Jr.; and grandson Castiel J. Wetzel.
A graduate from South Hagerstown High School in 1977. She was an advid reader. Enjoying murder mysteries written by Agatha Christie, Mrs. Marple, and detective Hercule Poirot were her favorite, as well the Cat Who stories by Lillian Jackson Braun, and stories by Mary Higgins Clark. Seeker of knowledge. She enjoyed watching all sorts of documentaries from True Crime, History, and Nature.
She had a close relationship with God, finding comfort in gospel music and spending time with her faith. She also enjoyed classical rock and country music from time to time. She found joy in gardening, cooking, puzzle games, solving word puzzles, bird watching, and family dinners.
Survived by her three daughters, Barbara A. McLucas; Jessica N. McLucas; Hannah M. McLucas and her son-in-law, Matthew J. Wetzel and grandson; Gabriel A. Wetzel. Additionally, she is survived by her brother; David L. Clarke; sister; Victoria A. Clarke, four nieces and five nephews.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
