Ruth Joanne Michel

Ruth Joanne Michel, age 95, of Wickliffe, passed away peacefully May 10, 2025. Mrs. Michel was born February 27, 1930, in Salem, OH, to the late James and Helen (nee Bower) Park.
Ruth was proud of her farm upbringing in Winona, often telling stories about growing up in a farmhouse, the animals they had and going to a one room schoolhouse until she started high school. She graduated from Shaw High School in East Cleveland and remained close with a group of friends and was a member of the "Shaw Lunch Bunch."
Ruth was a longtime resident of Wickliffe for almost 70 years. She loved the community by making lifelong friendships with her neighbors and raising their children together.
Ruth loved cooking and hosting gatherings for holidays and Browns games. TV was one of her favorite pastimes, and she especially enjoyed watching shows about home improvement, cooking, and talent competitions. She had a great sense of humor being known as quick-witted and loved to make people laugh.
Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Arthur; dearest mother of the late Thomas, James and Robert; dearest mother-in-law of Beverly Capper; devoted grandmother of Erin.
Inurnment will be in Acacia Memorial Park in Mayfield Hts. at a later date.
