Ruth Dooley Mueller, 96, passed away on Saturday, July 19th.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim; son, Michael; parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Dooley; and her siblings, Joe, Jack and Jimmy Dooley, and Mary Hartley.

She was a graduate of Mercy Academy and a longtime parishioner of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church where she helped establish the Sarafun organization. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Susan (Steve) Campbell of Alpharetta, GA, Sharon (David) Heverin, Terri (Frank) Wells of Irvine, CA, Tim (Julie), Mark (Mags) of Hockessin, DE; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Monday, July 28th, at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 2141 Lancashire Avenue. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 27th, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Society of St. Raphael by mailing them to the church's address, in care of John Raque.

We would like to express our appreciation to the caring staff of Nazareth Home at Newburg Road; especially her wonderful nurses, Rena, Elmer and Megan.
