Ruth Ann Linton gained her angel wings on Sunday, March 26th, 2023 at home in North Plainfield. She was 44 years old.
Ruth Ann's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here. She was born on May 24th, 1978 to Willie and Anna Pauline Parker in New Brunswick, NJ. She attended the New Brunswick School system before moving to Huntington, West Virginia. Early 2000, Ruth Ann returned to New Jersey where she settled with her eldest daughter Anna and twins Hezekiah and Hakeem. Upon moving back, she created a life she loved and to her surprise, she would meet the love of her life, Lon Linton-whom she married intimately on May 14, 2022. Ruth Ann was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her grandchildren's company, and was proud to be called their "Lady G." Not a day went by where Ruth Ann didn't talk about how much her children, grandchildren, and family meant to her - her family was arguably her most important achievement in life. She will be tremendously missed and forever in the hearts of those she loved and those that loved her.
Ruth Ann is survived by her loving husband, Lon, her children: Anna (Jon), Nigel, Najay, and Hezekiah, her sisters: MaryAnn Barnes (Carlton) and Michal Say (Karlyle). She is also survived by her brothers: Charles Parker (Cecelia) and Michael Parker (Tina), grandchildren: Reychal, Anrulin, Jonathan and Armani, her best friend: Zakia Amour, and a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Ruth Ann was pre-deceased by her parents: Willie and Anna Pauline Parker, her sister: Elizabeth Ann Parker, brothers: Zacchae'us and James Parker, as well as her beloved son: Hakeem Parker.
Services will be held at Judkins Colonial Home on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to her family, mainly to her children.
