Nashua Ruth (Ramey) Henley, 93, of Nashua, NH and formerly of Southborough, MA and Cape Coral. FL, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at Aynsley Place in Nashua, NH.

Ruth was born on May 6, 1932 in Somerville, MA, the only child of Cecil and Edith (Palmer) Ramey. She was raised in Buckfield, Nova Scotia, Canada where she began her career as a school teacher.

Following her marriage, Ruth returned to Massachusetts, settling in Southborough where she lovingly raised her three children. While living in Southborough, she worked for many years at the Framingham Motor Inn and the The Maridor, forming lasting friendships along the way.

Ruth's next chapter took her to Cape Coral, FL. where she worked providing day care for adults living with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. She spent much of her retirement there, enjoying the close friendship of her dear friends Dottie, Debbie, Marilyn, Linda and Sarah. Later in life, Ruth returned to New England to be closer to her family, settling in Nashua, NH

Ruth had a love for collecting cranberry glass and bird figurines and especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She took great pride in her family.

Ruth is survived by her three children: Bonnie (Daniel) Hansberry of Nashua, NH; Bettina Schmidt of Holland, MA, and Barry Henley of Webster, MA. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Cathy (Michael) Cibotti of Nashua. NH; Michael (Karent) Hansberry of Edgewater, CO; Tyler Schmidt of Warwick, RI; and Jack and Nicholas Henley of Dudley, MA and two great grandchildren, Parker and Carson.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of Home Health and Hospice in Merrimack, NH and Aynsley Place in Nashua, NH for their kindness and compassionate care of Ruth in her final days.

Calling hours will take place at the Morris-Johnston Funeral Home, 40 Main St. Southborough, MA on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 4:00-6:00PM. The interment will be held in Canada at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Ruth's name.
