Ruth M. Romito

age 95 of Twinsburg passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born to Fred and Mary Filips on January 17, 1930. She grew up in Maple Heights, Ohio and earned an Associate's Degree from Dyke College.
Ruth was full of life, love and laughter and brought joy to those who knew her. She had many interests and was a master Bridge player, avid reader and enthusiastic theater goer. Ruth was also an accomplished pianist and enjoyed all types of music. She had a passion for travel particularly visiting foreign cultures in Europe, Japan and northern Africa.
However, Ruth's greatest joy was her family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years Andrew "Andy" V. Romito. Ruth is survived by their three children, Lorelei Romito, Andrea Hixenbaugh (Jim) and Drew Romito (Karen). She is the grandmother to Lindsay Hixenbaugh, Paige Krol (Jeremy) and Mitchell Romito, MD (Ashley) and a great-grandmother to Grayson, Annalise, Easton and Isabelle. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Vivian Marshall (Harold).
The family will receive friends 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Busch-Romito Funeral Home, 9819 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, OH (330) 425-2244 where a memorial service will begin at 10:30 AM. A reception will follow at Twin Haven Reception Hall, 10439 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg, OH. She will be laid to rest privately with her husband at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
