Ruth was born June 5, 1945 in Martins Ferry, Ohio and was the daughter of William and Catherine (VanFossen) Summers.
Ruth's goal in life was to help and support others. She was a STNA for many years and worked 20 plus years at Rodhe's IGA in Millersburg.
She is survived by her son, Bill Six of Millersburg; her sister and brother-in-law, Ann (Robert) Miller of West Lafayette, Ohio; nephews, Gary (Amber) Goddard of West Lafayette, Ohio and Kenneth (Lorie) Ferguson of Millersburg, Ohio; nieces: Tanya (Jeffery) Smith of Michigan, Kathy (Dale) Hinkle of West Virginia, Janet Lineberry of New Philadelphia, Ohio, and Faye (Aaron) Strouse of Millersburg, Ohio; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and her dear friends, Ed and Phyllis Stivers of Danville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Summers; her daughter, Kay Mills; her brother, William Summers; and a sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Kenneth Ferguson.
