Ruth Culver Scull, 91years of age' Shallotte NC, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 3rd, 2026. She was a devoted wife and mother. She touched so many hearts over the course of her life. She was loved by many.

Ruth was born in Washington D, C. on April 18, 1934 to Frank and Louise Culver. She was raised in Arlington, Virginia. She graduated from Mary Washington College in 1956. Before raising a family, Ruth Worked in the Senate for Senator Duff of Pennsylvania, and for Senator Kuchel of California. She married David Charles Scull on June 21, 1956. Ruth was a diehard Redskin fan from a very young age. She was a Den Mother for her son Bruce, Brownie and Scout leader for her daughters, Diana and Carol. She loved to read, do Jig-Saw puzzles. Most of all she loved to entertain family and friends, she always insisted lovingly to host all the holiday and social events.

Ruth is survived by her husband David C. Scull and her Children Diana S. Boswell, Carol Rowane, Grandchildren Christopher Boswell, Patricia Dozier, Paul Rowane Jr., Catherine Scull, Aaron Rowane and Ruthanne Rowane. She is preceded in death by her Son Bruce David Scull and Grandson David Lee Boswell.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton. Interment followed at Bright View Cemetery.
